Spintax is a technique used to automatically generate different versions of text by varying specific words, phrases, or sections of a document. This technique can be particularly useful for creating multiple versions of content, such as email subject lines or body copy, for use in different contexts or with different target audiences.
The Spintax feature allows you to write multiple versions of a sentence, paragraph, or entire article while keeping the same meaning. It is a form of content spinning, which can be used to create unique content for various purposes, including SEO, marketing, and most important for increasing deliverability!
When you apply Spintax to your copy in Uptics, Uptics will randomly send one of the variations each time your template is used.

Other forms of Spintax: Snippet Groups
Besides the in-template Spintax Feature discussed in this article, Uptics also has an older, but slightly different form of Spintax, called Snippet Groups.
Snippet Groups vs Spintax
Snippet Groups help rotate larger content within an email that you want to be able to reuse across many different templates. Some example use cases might include testimonials, common text phrases or value propositions you use across many templates, canned responses, etc.
The Spintax feature inside the template editor and the AI Writing Tools is used for your copy inside the email body and subject line of a single template to rotate phrases and sentences specifically to the template you are working in. This in-template form of Spintax also allows you to take advantage of some of our AI features and have the system help provide iterations for your Spintax Outputs.
