Aside from the fields provided by Uptics, you can create custom fields to capture any additional information about your contacts.  Before you begin, you will need to determine the type of field you wish to create depending on the kind of data you want to store.  

To create a custom field within a list:

  1. When logged in to app.uptics.io, proceed to 'Profile' at the bottom left-hand side of the screen, click on 'Settings' > 'Custom Properties' under 'System Properties'. Ensure the tab on the top is set to either People, Companies, or Deals depending on where you need to get a custom field added, and click on the '+Add' button on the top right corner of the screen 'or'

  2. When logged in to app.uptics.io, proceed to the 'Settings' tab on the bottom left-hand side of the screen, click on 'Custom Properties' under 'System Properties'. Ensure the tab on the top is set to Custom Properties, and click on the '+Add' button on the top right corner of the screen.

  3. While logged into app.uptics.io, click 'Contacts' on the left toolbar.

  4. Ensure the tab on the top is set to either People or Companies depending on where you need to get a custom field added.

  5. While on the respective tab page, you will see a vertical bar just to the right-hand side of the page.

  6. Click the vertical bar and select 'Create Custom Field'. After clicking, you will see the 'Create Custom Fields' form pop up on your screen.

  7. While on the "Create Custom Field" form, you will need to input your custom field's information into the fields.

  8. Once the fields on the "Create Custom Field" form are completed, click the blue "Save" button to finish the custom field setup.

Form Definitions when Creating a Custom Field:

  • Label - Input the name of the custom field you are creating.

  • Group - Select the group that this custom field aligns with: Contact Information, Status, System Information, LinkedIn Information, Custom Fields.

  • Field Type - Select the type of field you would like to add.

    • Date Picker - Allows users to select a date as the custom field.

    • Radio - Allows users to select a button option from a list of options.

    • Dropdown - Allows users to choose a dropdown option from a list of options.

    • Text - Used for single-line text.
