Uptics Sales Automation software allows you to add and purchase a Twilio Phone Number within the platform. The Twilio number will allow you to make outbound calls, take inbound calls, and send/receive SMS messages. You also have the option to add in a Personal Phone Number, however, you will only have the ability to make outbound calls using a personal number.
Once a phone number has been set up within the system you will be able to make direct calls to any contact of your choosing. To maximize your outbound calling time you can use the Power Dialer, which will automatically call down a "Smart List" (a filtered and property-specific contact or deal list of your choosing) without having to initiate each call. The Power Dialer will move to the next call without any input needed from your end. All that is needed from you is to set up the Power Dialer Buffer Time you would like in between your calls, keeping in mind you may want to allow some time between calls to finish up any log notes pertaining to the last prospect you spoke with.
Other phone settings available and covered in other articles will (a) allow you to set what types of Call Outcomes you would like available while logging a phone call in the system, and (b) allow you to set a Default Country Code when new phone numbers for your contacts are added into the system.
To add a Twilio Phone Number:
While logged into app.uptics.io, proceed to the profile icon at the bottom left hand side of the screen, click Settings > Email & Phone, and proceed to the ‘Phone & SMS Settings’ section on the right side of the screen and click the 'Phone Numbers' dropdown and click on the ‘+ Add button' as shown below.
A window will show up on the screen, allowing you to choose if you’d like a local, toll-free, or mobile number. From this window you may also narrow down your search parameters to a specific Country, as well as a State, to obtain a number that suits your business. You may take it a step further and also type into the search bar to search for a specific area code.
Once you have found a number you’d like to go with, click the ‘Buy’ button which is just beside the number.
A confirmation box will appear for your confirmation, and the number will be acquired after you select the ‘Buy’ button one last time.
The Twilio Number will now be set up for use within the sales automation platform.
Once added, before making calls you will want to ensure you have this number set as your default phone number. This can be done within the 'Contacts' tab by clicking on Power Dial > Settings. A window will open on the right-hand side of the screen and you can choose your default number from the 'Caller ID' dropdown.
To add a Personal Phone Number:
While logged into app.uptics.io, proceed to the profile icon at the bottom left-hand side of the screen, click Settings > Email & Phone, and proceed to the ‘Phone & SMS Settings’ section on the right side of the screen and click the 'Phone Numbers' dropdown and click on the ‘+ Add button'.
A window will show up on the screen, you can scroll down to the section 'Add Personal Phone Number' and you will need to type your name under the ‘Caller Title’ input and your personal number under the ‘Dial a Number’ input.
Once the inputs are filled out, proceed by pressing the blue ‘Call’ button, and have your phone ready to answer. Upon answering the call you will be prompted with a verification code in your Uptics App that must be entered in on the phone call to complete the setup.
Your Personal number will now be set up for use within the platform.
