Companies are created automatically when 'people' records are created or imported using the 'domain' property field. So, if you import a people record [email protected], a company with the domain field uptics.io will be created, but nothing else will be created from the people import.
If you are looking to enrich this company data, you would need to import a company csv file and select the toggle option to 'Update existing Contacts with new data' prior to mapping the data. (You would also want to ensure there is that domain field in your import file).
