Can I store multiple email addresses for my contact records?

Will Uptics send emails if email addresses are stored in a field other than the Email field?

As you acquire new leads, import your lists, and begin your prospecting, there may come a time when you have a couple of different email addresses for your records.

Although Uptics will allow you to create Custom Fields to store these alternative email addresses, the only property field that is connected to sending functionality is the default Email Address field, for both People and Company Records, as shown below.

Furthermore, this email field is important because it serves as the unique identifier for your contact records. For example, if you wish to update your contact data in the future via import, the system will use the email in this field, as well as the email in your import file, to match the records and update any new properties from your import file!

The image below shows an example of the Email field that is functional for sending, as seen during the Import process. During your import or contact creation process, you would want to simply map the main Email Address column from your lead list to the Email field as shown below.

The merge fields that are useable for sending, and as shown in the above image for mapping, #{{contact.email}} and #{{company.email}}, will show on the frontend simply as Email.

Any other fields created for storing emails, like Personal Email #{{contact.personal.email}}, or Other Email #{{contact.other.email}}, etc, are not functional for email sending, and would only serve as placeholders for you to paste into the Email field at a later date, or for reference.

In the future, Uptics will have the capability to store multiple email address fields that are all functional to send to.
